Graphic updating in flash ® files
Replacing embedded graphics tends to be an unpleasant job because it is time-consuming and error-prone. This certainly applies where you're dealing with a substantial number of graphics, whose paths to the original graphics files can only be time-consumingly rebuilt if at all, since they are stored in their respective FLA files.
As we find this job extremely tedious as well, and because we wanted to minimize the labor costs to our customers, we looked for a solution, and we found it: we edit, or simply search for and replace the path names to the original graphics stored in an FLA file in such a way that the new path names point to a storage location relating to the FLA file. Now, if we deposit the localized graphics files in this storage location, we are able to update all the graphics in a Flash ® file with a single click – without losing any individual properties settings.
